The City is proud of its heritage, its fine homes and neighborhoods, its historic and attractive downtown, the flowers and parks and, of course, the Inner Harbour with its vistas toward the famous Empress Hotel and the Parliament Buildings. In fact, it’s one of the world’s favorite destinations.

There are a lot of things to see and do in Victoria, and here are some places you should look into:

Victoria Afternoon Tea
This tradition has been continuing since 1908. Victoria afternoon teasare offered at different inns and restaurants in the city. Victoria Afternoon Tea is an absolute "must do" for all who visit Victoria.
Butchart Gardens
One of the biggest tourist attractions, the Butchart Gardens Victoria have been enticing visitors to Vancouver Island since the early 1900s; because of that fact, these breathtaking gardens are now a designated National Historic Site.
Abkhazi Garden
The Abkhazi Garden is an exquisite heritage home and garden located in Victoria, a city known for its wonderful gardens
Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is one of Canada's finest art museums; you’ll want to spend time here if you have an interest in art.
Beacon Hill Park
A short walk from Government Street in downtown Victoria, this 200 acre park is beautifully landscaped and manicured with bridges, lakes and ponds, and an alpine and rock garden. It is home to numerous species of ducks, birds and wildlife.
Carr House
The birthplace and childhood home of Emily Carr, one of Canada's most famous artists and authors, is just one of the unique historic homes located in the neighborhood of James Bay.
Centre of the Universe
The Centre of the Universe is the new interpretive centre at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Victoria, where you can have spectacular views of Victoria and the Cosmos!
Craigdarroch Castle
Wouldn’t you like to take a tour through the spectacular home built by British Columbia’s first millionaire? You have the opportunity to do so when you visit Craigdarroch Castle.
Fort Rodd Hill and Lighthouse
Wouldn’t you like to step inside Canada’s oldest west coast lighthouse? Come to Fort Rodd Hill and you’ll be able to see inside a real working lighthouse. Exhibits on display will tell you the many stories of ships wrecked and lives saved.
Glendale Gardens and Woodlands
It’s worth your time to make the short drive to the town of Saanich, just outside Victoria to the Glendale Gardens and Woodlands. There is a huge area to explore and five of those 103 acres are gardens!

Goldstream Provincial Park
Located 18 kilometers (11 miles) northwest of Victoria, annual highlights of Goldstream Provincial Park involve the fish and birds that live here. In the autumn, visitors come to see the thousands of chum salmon that spawn here.
Government House
The Government House has been labeled  another "must see" with its exquisite gardens. You may tour the gardens, which have been maintained for over a hundred years and cover 36 acres.
Hatley Castle & Hatley Park Museum
Hatley Park is Canada's largest and most diverse National Historic Site. Visitors will enjoy going on a tour of Hatley Castle, which sits in the center of the site and was built in 1908.
Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery
Here you’ll find a diverse collection ranging from ancient Chinese artifacts to works by well known contemporary artists. The Maltwood hosts as many as 24 exhibits per year in their two gallery locations.
Maritime Museum of British Columbia
Exploring the Maritime Museum of British Columbia is a wonderful way to spend time with your family. You’ll see various theme galleries that tell the interesting story of British Columbia's marine history.
Miniature World
All ages enjoy Miniature World! This museum has been called “the greatest little show on earth”! Over 85 little attractions that include the worlds smallest operational sawmill, two of the largest doll houses, and one of the longest model railways.
